OpenFrame v0.2 – Experimental Road-Frame Prototype
Hybrid 3D-printed PA12-CF + bamboo veneer road-frame concept. Early experimental build, not intended for road use.
OpenFrame v0.2 is an experimental hybrid frame combining 3D-printed PA12-CF lugs with bamboo veneer tubes.
This build is a research prototype only – it is not certified, not tested to any bicycle safety standard, and not intended for public-road use.
Goals
- Explore geometry and joint concepts for bamboo + PA12-CF lugs
- Learn about bonding, alignment and stiffness
- Document the full process for future, safer iterations and for an eventual indoor–trainer-only frame
Safety
This frame is not a finished product. It is used only in controlled environments for test riding and evaluation.
